Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to investigate a fatal single-vehicle collision on Highway 881.
On May 17, 2022, at 10:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a call for a rollover just outside of Anzac near mile marker 281.
They found a black 2015 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab at the location, and its driver and lone occupant ejected from the vehicle as a result of the collision.
EMS declared the 26-year-old man from Calgary dead at the scene.
Investigators determined the pickup truck headed southbound on Hwy. 881 south of Anzac, when it veered into a ditch and then rolled after it struck an approach.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the accident or saw the vehicle leaving the town before the collision.
