Wood Buffalo RCMP are searching for clues to a pair of shootings they believe are connected.

On June 29, 2022, at 11:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired near Tolen Drive.

Upon arrival, they learned a 22-year-old man arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Later at 12:10 a.m., RCMP received a second call from Thickwood.

The report of gunshots came from the area of Stroud Bay and Caldwell Crescent involving a suspicious unknown man.

When officers arrived, they located and seized a vehicle of interest: A white Volkswagen Passat.

In a statement, RCMP said they believe it is connected to both shootings, which they determined are related.

While there is no risk to the public at this time, Wood Buffalo RCMP said the investigation is ongoing.

Any witnesses who may have been, or may have surveillance or dashcam footage of the Passat or suspicious activity in both areas during those times are asked to come forward.
