Giants pitching duo combine to record first no-hitter in team history

Travis Cole and Reese Devlin combined to pitch the first no-hitter in Fort McMurray Giants history in the team's 3-0 win over the Edmonton Prospects at Legacy Dodge Field.

Players and fans of the Fort McMurray Giants will ask where they were on July 19, 2022.

It was on that day the team recorded its first no-hitter in team history.

The Fort McMurray Giants defeated the rival Edmonton Prospects at Legacy Dodge Field to record their 20th win of the 2022 season.

Pitchers Reese Devlin and Travis Cole combined to pitch nine innings of no-hit, shutout ball in the 3-0 victory.

Devlin started for the Giants pitching two innings and recording one strikeout.

In the third inning, Travis Cole replaced Devlin, and pitched the rest of the way, fanning 10 batters and drawing two walks in seven innings of work.

The Giants offense came courtesy of Nik Kekatos and Alfonzo Villalobos.
