ALERT nabs three suspected of drug trafficking

Three people, who were suspected of drug trafficking, have been charged by ALERT Fort McMurray.

On Nov. 4, 2022, Wood Buffalo RCMP executed a search warrant at a home and a vehicle in the neighbourhood of Eagle Ridge.

Officers seized 90 grams of cocaine, prohibited weapons, and $4,045 in cash.

According to ALERT, their investigation began in September after receiving information about the trafficking of cocaine in the community.

A 45-year-old, 37-year-old, and 26-year old, all from Fort McMurray, were charged with a total of eight criminal offences, including drug trafficking and weapons-related charges.

All three are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 13, 2022.
