Flair Airlines is preparing to embark on its maiden flight to Tucson from Fort McMurray International Airport.

Beginning Nov. 30, 2022, the low-fare airline will depart from YMM on a direct flight to the Arizona capital, starting twice weekly service.

Stephen Jones, the CEO of Flair Airlines, said they’re delighted to connect Canadians and Americans with Canada’s first direct route to the city.

“Expanding service for more Canadian cities to fly to Tucson is a critical part of our overarching mission to make travel more accessible to Canadians. We believe Canadians deserve more affordable and competitive airfare to stay connected with the people and places they love.”

One-way fares, including taxes and fees, start at $125.

Flights will depart Fort McMurray on Sundays and Wednesdays and land at Tucson International Airport (TUS).

“We’re thrilled to welcome back Flair Airlines to YMM, with non-stop flights to Tucson,” Said Denean Robinson, CFO and Interim President and CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority. “This new air service affords residents a quick, inexpensive sun destination and gives Tucsonans the opportunity to explore the many unique experiences Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo has to offer.”

Based in Edmonton, Flair Airlines is the third largest domestic airline in Canada.
