The Fort McMurray Airport Authority has announced non-stop, round-trip flights between Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) and Montreal, Quebec.

Air Canada’s Rouge aircraft will operate non-stop, year-round, three days a week from Tuesdays to Thursdays beginning June 20, 2023.

Mark Galardo, Senior Vice President of Network Planning and Revenue Management with Air Canada said they’re pleased to add the new route.

“These new flights will complement our existing Toronto service, and Air Canada will be the only carrier connecting Fort McMurray non-stop to two significant hubs in Quebec and Ontario, offering an unparalleled array of connection opportunities to Atlantic Canada, to the U.S. or globally.”

Interim President and CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority, Denean Robinson, called it another win for YMM.

“This new air service not only allows Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo residents a quick flight option to enjoy the beauty and attractions Montreal has to offer.”

Robinson added Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) offers quick connections to Atlantic and international destinations.

Air Canada Rouge uses AirbusA319 aircraft, which seat 136 passengers.

This is the first time in YMM’s history there will be direct flights between our airport and YUL.
