Early bird registration for Shootout On The Snye is now open.
The annual four-on-four pond hockey tournament returns to the Snye River, kicking off WinterPLAY celebrations in Fort McMurray from Feb. 24-26, 2023.
Participants registering online by Jan. 22 can pay $30 per player.
All registered players will receive a Shootout On The Snye jersey.
Regular registration of $40 per player ends on Jan. 31.
Gameplay
According to the Municipality, youth under the age of 18 register individually and teams and divisions will be formed based on skill level.
Individuals and teams of players 18 years and older will play in an Open Division.
All teams are guaranteed three games in the first two days of the tournament, and they get an opportunity to compete in the playoffs on Sunday, Feb. 26.
The RMWB is asking for volunteers to help officiate games, and each team must provide at least one representative of at least 18 years to referee.
WinterPLAY runs from Feb. 24 to March 5.
