Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating after a body was found along a park pathway in Fort McMurray.
On Mar. 19, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., police said officers were called to Prospect Point Park upon the discovery of human remains near a storm pond.
Investigators have confirmed the remains were that of a woman in her late 30s.
An autopsy will be conducted in Edmonton by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The investigation is ongoing.
