RCMP looking for suspected purse snatcher
Police have released surveillance photo and a description of a woman suspected in the theft of a purse from a restaurant in Fort McMurray on May 29, 2023.

Wood Buffalo RCMP hope to identify a suspect involved in a theft at a local restaurant.
According to police, on May 29, 2023, at 7:37 pm, a woman entered the restaurant accompanied by a man, who wore all black clothing.
Once they finished their meal, the female suspect past a nearby table, grabbed an unattended purse, and fled the restaurant.

No one was injured.
RCMP said the suspect is accused of theft under $5000.
A description of the woman is as follows:
- Dark, shoulder length hair
- Medium complexion
- Medium build
- Wearing a patterned beige, white, and black shirt
Police have also released a surveillance photo of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Wood Buffalo RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
