Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) is looking for a few good volunteers.

In a release, the Fort McMurray Airport Authority (FMAA) has announced the launch of its first ever volunteer program at YMM.

“The YMM Volunteer Program is part of our ongoing commitment to offer the best passenger experience possible,” says FMAA’s President & CEO Denean Robinson.

Residents may register one the airport’s website to become a YMM Volunteer.

The airport authority said background checks and in-person orientation are mandatory for all applicants.

Committed to work at least eight hours per month, volunteers will receive training to support passengers with flight information, wayfinding, and answer general questions about air travel and YMM.

Volunteers will also have an opportunity to assist at YMM special events.

“Perks associated with being part of the program include: a free parking stall, free admission to YMM special events, exclusive Team YMM discounts and YMM Volunteer t-shirt.”

The FMAA said it’s confident volunteers will enjoy their time in the program, and look forward to welcoming new members to Team YMM.
