Person of interest sought in Fort Chip shooting
Anyone with information about a shooting in Fort Chipewyan on Aug. 21, 2023, or the person of interest in the attached photo, is asked to call Wood Buffalo RCMP.

Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a shooting.
According to police, it happened on Aug. 21, 2023, at 8:30 p.m. in Fort Chipewyan.
Investigators got a hold of surveillance footage and found a person of interest, who they said may have valuable information:

- Dark complexion
- Beard
- 180 cm, or five foot 10 inches tall
- 100 kg or 220 lbs
- Wearing a yellow tank top
RCMP have also provided an image from surveillance footage.
Anyone with information about the person of interest or the shooting is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
