MRU says it reached a new collective agreement with the school’s faculty association and will put it to a vote within the next couple of days.

The potential agreement could result in 50 amendments to the collective agreement. The association’s chief negotiator, Kirk Niergarth says workload is a major concern including class sizes for faculty and staff members.

Note: A previous version of this story stated faculty salaries would be gradually reduced if the agreement was approved. MRU has since clarified its previous statement to indicate salaries would not actually be be reduced.
