Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta and Syncrude announced Annette Antoniak as the 8th nominee of their Women of Inspiration series.
Antoniak was relocated from Penticton, British Columbia to take over as Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo, recently taking over the position of Chief Administrative Officer for the RMWB.
She has held roles as an Economic Development Officer, Executive Vice President and President and has spent her career challenging gender barriers.
Her experience allows her to mentor and inspire others, while demonstrating what can be achieved through hard work and determination.
Antoniak and 11 other nominees will be honoured at the Women of Inspiration Celebration in June.
The Women of Inspiration series is a partnership between Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta and Syncrude, with a goal to recognize women throughout the region who inspire others, break new ground or old barriers and help create change, while showing local girls positive, local role models.
