63 traffic shifting for construction

Drivers will be moving through different routes on Highway 63 to accommodate construction on the Parson’s Creek interchange.

Starting on Jan. 22, traffic will be diverted onto the northbound Highload bypass north of the Taiga Nova intersection. The traffic pattern is expected to last until Feb. 15.

From Jan. 30 –  Feb. 9, southbound traffic on 63 will be diverted onto the new northbound lanes while crews install girders on new lanes. The work schedule may vary depending on the weather.

Alberta Transportation is reminding drivers to obey signs and flag people. Officials also note that speed fines double in construction zones.
