Starting tomorrow, the best women’s basketball in the province can be found in Fort McMurray.
Keyano College will host the 2019 ACAC Women’s Basketball Championships at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre.
Not much separates the eight talented and determined squads, so the gold is anyone’s for the taking.
Opening Round
Tomorrow’s action gets underway at 1 p.m. with the St. Mary’s Lightning against the Lakeland Rustlers.
At 3 p.m., the NAIT Ooks challenge the Olds Broncos.
Afterwards, the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings battle the Medicine Hat Rattlers at 6 p.m.
Finally, the main event features the hometown Keyano Huskies against the Lethbridge Kodiaks at 8 p.m.

- The Lethbridge Kodiaks are the most decorated women’s basketball program in this year’s competition with 14 ACAC titles.
- St. Mary’s, NAIT, Olds, and Alberta-Augustana each have one ACAC championship.
- Since joining the ACAC in 2010, this is the first time Keyano College hosted the women’s basketball championship.
