Advance polls in Fort McMurray-Conklin opened Tuesday morning.
Residents in the by election riding have two advance poll locations open until Saturday and three additional stations for rural communities open for one day each.

Polling stations are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for those looking to cast their ballot before the July 12 by election.
The candidates:
Laila Goodridge- United Conservative Party
Goodridge was born and raised in Fort McMurray and said she has worked political campaigns in town for over 15 years.
Jane Stroud- New Democrat Party
Stroud is currently the ward 4 councillor, she was first elected in 2010. She has taken a step away from the horseshoe to focus on her campaign.
Fayad is a local business owner with no previous political experience but believes he’d be best suited for the job because of his ties to the community.
Deheer lives in Lac La Biche, he is a former Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Alberta and has been a federal candidate for the Green Party of Canada.
LeFevre lives in Edmonton and he previously ran in the Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo riding in the 2015 provincial election.
