Dunvegan Gardens retail store to close

Dunvegan Gardens announced Monday it will close its retail store before the new year.

In a statement posted to Facebook, Dunvegan said the landscaping portion of the business will continue and it hopes to reopen the greenhouse in the spring of 2019.

Back in May council voted against a re-zoning application, in part because a survey of Draper residents didn’t support commercial activities.

The change to Direct Control Village Commercial District would have allowed a commercial greenhouse, outdoor events and a country store and market.

Shortly after the application was denied, it was announced that the market garden property in Draper was up for sale.

The retail store at 8124 Fraser Ave. will close Dec. 23 at 5 p.m.
