MacDonald Island Park members could enjoy some new perks on their next visit.

MemberPLUS+ is a new membership tier that extends access to the High-Performance Training Centre.

Registrants may take advantage of services like unlimited fitness classes at all Island amenities.

Furthermore, MemberPLUS+ users may use childcare services at the Kids Clubhouse for no additional cost.

Regional Recreation Corporation (RRC) CEO Graig Walsh said Fall should be an exciting time for all members.

“We are thrilled to start it off with some amazing new upgrades, like the new membership model, and coming soon all members will have the opportunity to skip the line and save time with a new RFID Band – Smart Scan system.”

Walsh said Smart Scan wristbands would be available to Member and MemberPLUS+ users with continuous or annual memberships in the coming weeks.

“The experience of our guests and members is important to us and we’ll continue to develop and enhance it over time to meet the needs of the community, now members can choose the membership that best suits their lifestyle.”

Also, fitness classes are available at ‘The Studio’ next to the entrance to Legacy Dodge Field.

It’s a bright modern space easily accessible from the parking lot.

Finally, among the upgrades to the Suncor Community Leisure Centre are renovations to the front entrance.

Convenient sliding doors now grant access to guests entering the SCLC.

This and other upgrades are results from the Word on The Street survey from February 2019.
