COVID-19 recoveries in Alberta exceed 6000

Alberta reported no new cases of COVID-19 in the RMWB

The region has 24 recovered cases and one active case in Fort McMurray.

Officials at the Kearl Lake facility north of Fort McMurray reported a flattening curve.

Imperial Oil Public Affairs advisor, Jon Harding said the site has no active cases on-site.

“There are nine active cases confirmed when workers developed symptoms off site, as of yesterday.”

Harding added officials received no new positive tests at Kearl over the weekend.

The province has reported 22 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of total cases to 6901.

One more Albertan died from the illness to bring that total to 139.

There are 714 active cases and 6048 recovered cases.

45 Albertans required hospitalization, including five in intensive care.

The Alberta Legislature will resume its sitting on May 27, which should conclude by the end of July.

To date, Alberta health tested 221,173 Albertans.
