Additional COVID-19 case in RMWB caps weekend report

Alberta confirmed Wood Buffalo has one additional case of COVID-19.

According to the province’s website, the new case is outside the urban service area.

The RMWB has 24 total recovered cases, including three in the rural service area.

Fort McMurray has six active cases, which increased by four in yesterday’s report.

Alberta reported a total of five new cases of the illness in the region over the weekend.

Alberta reported 50 new cases of COVID-19, but no additional deaths.

Alberta has 422 active cases with 46 receiving hospitalization and seven in intensive care.

The death toll currently stands at 150.

6861 Albertans recovered from the virus for an increase of 31 from the previous day.

Dr Deena Hinshaw, chief medical officer of health, will speak about Alberta’s COVID-19 response on June 15.
