Hinshaw reminds Albertans to remain vigilant

Alberta confirmed four new cases and one recovery of COVID-19 in the RMWB.

The region has at least one new case of the illness in each of the last five days.

Fort McMurray has one new case and recovery from COVID-19, for a total of nine active cases and 22 recoveries.

The spread of the virus outside the urban service area increased by 100 per cent in the last 24 hours.

There are now six active cases in Wood Buffalo’s rural areas, which has three recovered cases.

Dr Deena Hinshaw said as Alberta transitions in its relaunch it’s up to Albertans to take responsibility for protecting their communities.

Alberta reported 48 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths.

The province has 486 active cases, including 38 receiving hospitalization, 151 deaths, and 6893 recoveries.

Health officials completed nearly 7,000 tests in the last 24 hours.

To date, 318,276 Albertans underwent testing for COVID-19
