Landmark Cinemas in Eagle Ridge has been officially opened since Nov. 23, 2018.

A month after opening, Bill Walker, Chief Executive Officer of Landmark Cinemas told MyMcMurray that “the community’s reception has been great.”

We have had over 1,200 showtimes at the theater so far and we’ve been able to put 48,000 people through the building,”

MyMcMurray reached out to Landmark Cinemas to get some stats on how well the new theater has preformed in their first year of operation.

A total of 117 movies have played with 11,137 showtimes.

Over 2,200,000 pounds of popcorn seed has been used to make over 230,000 bags of popcorn.

Walker said that by being able to buy tickets far in advance ensures movie goers they get the best seats.

“No more putting your coat down to reserve your seat. Just get in there, grab some concessions, relax and you’ll enjoy the experience.” Said Walker. “Particularly over the holidays you’ll see with the number of movies coming out, it’s going to be really busy and it’s a great experience when you can book online in advance.”

Tickets can be purchased online, through the Atom app, or at the box office, which opens half an hour before the first showing.
